POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Technology Services Department is responsible for providing exceptional and innovative technology solutions to meet organizational and user needs. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant with at least one (1) year of experience to perform administrative work activities in support of department objectives within established guidelines. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working remotely and at Delta Sigma Theta offices. This position offers a collaborative, engaging, and challenging work environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite products and be highly skilled in organizational details and computer literacy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform general office duties for the Director such as calendar and email management.
•Prepare, edit, or process correspondence, communications, invoices, forms, and expense reports, Power Point presentations, reports, and other documents for the Director and the department.
•File and retrieve department documents, records, and reports as needed.
•Provide logistical support for meetings as directed to include agenda preparation and meeting minutespreparation. •Attend various meetings as requested to maintain awareness of all day-to-day activities; prepare written and verbal summary reports for the Director as necessary.
•Track and follow up on department and meeting action items.
•Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Independently motivated.
• Ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously.
• Time-management skills.
• Strong computer skills, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Internet Browsers. Strong problem-solving ability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s degree or higher.
